Well Friends, Do You Know What is Hay?Hay is actually a kind of grass that is cut and dried to be used as animal for drying it sunshine is required. You can't prepare hay on on a cloudy day So it is advised that one should make hay while the sunshine's.
Now when you know the literal meaning , speaking no more about farming, all I would like to begin with my topic " Make hay while the sun shines".
The figurative meaning of the proverb is that if there is a task that needs to be done then you must do it before you lose the chance to do it. Yes. success requires a lot of qualities hard work , dedication but more importantly it requires friendliness of circumstances that is availability of favorable conditions. You cannot show your talent unless you are given a chance to prove yourself. Believe me opportunity once missed causes grief and regret for entire life time/If we look down at history we can find many instances which proves the proverb correct. The biggest example can be is of "Adolf Hitler" one of the greatest leader of Germany made the best use of economic crises and depression in German . He knew that people are not satisfied with other leader , so he get closer to the people , share his ideas and guess what?? He came to the Power
Successful persons made best use of their opportunities whereas , ambitious persons who failed is largely the story of missed chances and futile regret
Favorable circumstances are short-lived , they don't last infinitely . But we have a tendency to postpone and delay things . This applies to everyone regardless of their age, gender etc. What can be a better example than school students . They postpone their regular study hours and in exam time they are left worried and tensed because they don't prepare hay while the sun was shining due to which now they are troubled.
You all must have heard "Strike The Iron When its Hot"
It means exactly same what I am talking about. Life is short we don't know which missed chance becomes the last one to slip from our hands. So whatever it is work or play. Don't waint until its too late. Be on the look out for every possible opportunity and when it comes to you seize it , grab it with both you hands. Do it while the sun is shining And fate is Smiling !!
